The Great Warmth
Time: 26th of Fireseek to 3rd of Readying
The Great Warmth was a festival celebrated by the people of Viraden, the most northerly continent. It marked what they believed to be the last days of winter, and the incrediby cold season that those who lived there had to struggle through every year. It is a tradition dating back to the founding of settlements on Viraden by their rather stubborn ancestors, and is very much a founding day celebration in addition. With the winter months not being anywhere near as harsh elsewhere, The Great Warmth was rarely seen celebrated in any other places.
With the fall of the continent of Viraden during the dwarven wars, and the lands becoming so uninhabitable that no settlements exist anymore, The Great Warmth was lost as a celebration. While there are a number of survivors of Viraden who have since moved elsewhere, The Great Warmth to them has since become a memorial day for the loss of their old home.
